FT Faculty Physiatrist

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Description: Saint Louis University is at present looking to employ FT Faculty Physiatrist right now, this occupation will be settled in Missouri. Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service seeks applicants for an open track appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery beginning immediately.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Missouri medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program. Fellowship training and ABOS certification/eligibility in orthopaedic surgery are required by appointment start date. The position is offered at open rank, appointment level commensurate with academic accomplishment.

Based at the Health Sciences Center campus, this clinicallyâ€"oriented, full-time position emphasizes the provision of specialized care in the treatment of patients requiring musculoskeletal medicine. This position will have an opportunity to participate in committee work at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and/or one of the SSM Hospitals where we practice. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and orthopaedic residents. Biomechanical and
basic science research opportunities are also available.
