Duties:
These positions are staff physicians in the department of hematology/oncology, positions that offer unique opportuniti! es in clinical medicine, research and education. The incumbents will be responsible for seeing patients with a broad spectrum of malignant and non-malignant diseases. In addition to outpatient clinical care activities, responsibilities will include supervising fellows, and house staff, seeing inpatient consults, inpatient attending duties, and supervising the chemotherapy treatment room. Finally, these positions will be responsible for seeing all patients who have received an allogeneic stem cell transplant and to manage immunosuppression as needed to control symptoms of acute and chronic graft versus host disease.
- The duty station is at the John Cochran Division; however, the duty station may be changed to one or multiple associated VAMC locations within the metropolitan St. Louis, MO area based on the needs of the medical center.

Qualifications & Evaluations
In order to qualify for this position you must meet the following:
Basic Requirements :
- U.S. Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens)
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Completion of a one year residency, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which it was completed.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
1. Board certified or boar! d eligible in hematology and medical oncology.
2. Experience with c! hemotherapy and other hematology and oncology procedures.
3. Experience managing acute and chronic graft versus host disease with immunosuppressive therapies.
4. Must be eligible for a faculty appointment at Washington University
