Has responsibility and accountability for patient care as directed by the Clinic provider(s); safely performs a range of routine clinical skills which include assisting with office procedures including pap smears, suture removal, minor surgery, obtaining cultures and specimens, taking vital signs, performing emergency basic life suppor! t (BLS). Presents a systematic approach while addressing patie! nt telephone calls including triage, medication refills as ordered by provider and basic health related issues. Is responsible for patient flow, chaperoning, medical supply inventory, cleaning of medical instruments and follows procedures related to preparing rooms between patients. Provides assistance to front office staffing regarding medical record maintenance, patient Scheduling and other clerical duties as assigned.
