Positioned on 60 acres, the campus is home to hospital, medical buildings, Research College of Nursing, and Research School of Nuclear Medicine in addition to the Radiology School. Fully accredited by the Joint Commission, the highest national healthcare governing body, and with being one of twelve Level 1 Trauma Centers in Missouri, Research Medical Center provides a wide variety of services and specialties including â€" a Cancer Center, Transplant Institute for kidney and pancreas transplants, Certified Stroke Center, and an award winning Cardiovascular Department.

Research Medical Center is in search of an Administrative Director! of Cardiovascular Services.

The Administrative Direc! tor facilitates the integration and teamwork of all Cardiovascular Departments (Cardiology, Cath Lab, EP Lab, ECHO, Heart Failure, and Outreach) for optimal care of patients. The Administrative Director works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff, the Cardiovascular Services Medical Director and the cardiac physicians to ensure the highest level of care for patients, and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory requirements and guidelines. The Admin Director works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital alignment. The Admin Director is responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Cardiovascular services at the facility to align with HCA initiatives. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational). The Admin Director will continue to develop product line and continue to work on expanding! the business. Specific duties will include physician recruitment, business development, and marketing & sales. The director is responsible for the integration of the cardiology medical practices with the inpatient services. Operational responsibilities also include STEMI status for Cardiology and working collaboratively with other HCA facilities.

The Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services will oversee the operation of the cardiovascular service line which includes:

Accredited Chest Pain Center

Research Medical Center delivers door-to-balloon times that exceed national guidelines and ! is one of the top hospitals in Kansas City for heart attack care.
O! ur Chest Pain Center is accredited by the National Society of Chest Pain Centers and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the Emergency Department.
The region’s first Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certified Advanced Heart Failure Program , which provides our patients with the following services:

Discharge and transition of care planning
Timely phone follow up
Outpatient clinic
Enhancement of self-care skills through education, support and counseling

Non-Invasive Diagnostic Services

Echocardiography: ICAEL Accredited Echocardiography Lab, accredited in: Adult Transthoracic; Adult Transesophageal; Adult Stress Echo.
Diagnostic Vascular: Icavl Accredited Vascular Lab: Accredited In: Extracranial Cerebrovascular; Peripheral Venous; Peripheral Arterial
Electrocardiography, Holter Monitoring, Cardiac Nuclear Stress Testing, Tilt Table Testing

Invasive Cardiovascular Services

Our ! 2 cardiovascular laboratories feature state-of-the-art equipment and bring the latest technological advances in cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional treatment to our patients. A third hybrid OR/Cath Lab is in development.

Left and Right heart catheterization
Coronary angiography/angioplasty/stenting

Our EP ! Lab features a biplane xray system, and advanced mapping systems to pro! vide treatment of patients with complex cardiac rhythm disturbances and conduction defects.

Bi-ventricular pacemaker implantation / cardiac Resynchronization therapy (CRT)
Diagnostic electrophysiologic studies
Radio frequency ablations(including Atrial Fibrillation and Ventricular Tachycardia)

Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

Highly qualified cardiac rehab specialists provide our patients with individualized care immediately after a cardiac event. This care continues through the patient’s transition to healthy living with our Outpatient Secondary Prevention Program.

Vein Program

In collaboration with Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists, Research Medical Center provides diagnosis and treatment for chronic venous insufficiency through:

Consultation with Vascular Specialist
Non-invasive work-up to assist in diagno! sing chronic venous insufficiency varicose veins, through diagnostic ultrasound imaging, without added discomfort
Minimally-invasive and highly effective endovenous ablation procedure for qualified patients
