Group Overview
The Order Management team is responsible for the design and development of Cerner's Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE) solutions. Cerner's CPOE solutions involve the placement and management of a variety of orders/proce! dures that directly impact the care of the patient. In develop! ing these solutions, the Order Management team focuses on streamlining the clinician workflow and enhancing the user experience, while always maintaining the patients' safety. The Order Management team emphasizes innovation and creativity in order to develop some of Cerner's most integrated solutions.
Responsibilities
The Solution Designer is responsible for the functional design of Cerner's PowerOrders, EasyScript, and Superbill Orders solutions, as well as the design of related documentation materials and the content of end user reference materials. Specific responsibilities include:
Gathering and writing functional requirements
Working with the design team and the navigator organization to develop requirements based upon scope of capabilities.
Develop documentation around new enhancements and provide educational support to implementation teams.
Other responsibilities include:
Provide assistance to the learn! ing organization team to develop classes and help keep content up-to-date as functionality is available.
Assisting with RFP questions from functional specialists.
Providing information for Millennium support guides.
Communicating new solution enhancements to Cerner associates and clients.
Conduct review meetings and design sessions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Associates degree
Clinical experience or healthcare background (i.e.- RN, Medical Technologist, Lab Tech, Respiratory Tech, EMT, pharmacy tech, etc.)
2+ yearsâ experience working with CPOE solutions
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Must currently be living in or willing to relocate to Kansas City metropolitan area
Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
Presentation skills or previous! experience conducting educational seminars
