This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

This position is in the Department of Urologic Surgery. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Essential Functions
POSITION SUMMARY:
Position performs patient office visits and minor procedures on new and established patients, providing consultation and education to patients/families under the direction of a physician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Sees patients independently in an office setting for a variety of urologic conditions.
2. Responds to patient phone calls, answering questions about medical concerns and clarifying plan on care, refilling and prescribing medication and ordering testing.
3. Takes active role in triage, advising patients, assessing needs and referring to appropriate personnel.
4. Monitors medical condition of patients, documenting charts and reporting changes as necessary.
5. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/! families in accordance with established clinic/hospital standa! rds.
6. Documents all patient care in the electronic medical record, taking medical histories, assess patientsâ conditions and develop individual care plans for patients assigned.
7. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
8. Monitors/ensures accuracy of patient medical records, maintains all required reports, records, statistics, etc.
9. Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.
10. Performs care as needed, including but not limited to: pelvic exams, incision and drainage of abscesses, wound debridement / dressing changes, urethral catheterizations, pessary sizing and pessary care.
Required Qualifications
Current MSN with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program; APN licensure or ability to successfull! y obtain licensure within 3 months of date of hire
Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty; Basic Life Support certification
Salary Range
Market driven compensation based upon experience.
