We are currently in search of a PT WEO RN for our Pulmonary Telemetry unit.Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care on a pulmonary telemetry unit. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards. Demonstrates ability to assess patientsâ signs and symptoms with impending CVA, Pulmonary Edema, MI, CHF, PE, respiratory distress.
Assures and teaches patientâs pre/post open heart surgery, heart catheterization, PTCA. Assesses neurological status (including cognitive levels) in post head injured patients. Maintains all intravenous lines and fluids (i.e., CVP, Hickman catheters, mini infusers hyper alimentation, dialysis catheter, etc.)Minimum Requirements:Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Current state of Missouri RN licensure required. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.
BLS and ALS certification required and maintained.Experience: Must have 1 year of Floor experience.
