We are seeking a Fieldwork Research Associate and Health Coach to support the QUIT-Mobile project. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: * Implement intervention protocols and activities * Liaise and coordinate patients with care and services * Deliver coaching intervention services via telehealth (phone or video), using an existing manual of procedures for setting goals and implementing behavior change for diverse low-income adult patients of community health centers who screen as risky (moderate) drug users * Travel to assigned clinic sites to identify and engage potential study participants * Recruitment, retention, and implementation of assessments using prepared questions * Participant tracking and follow-up at pre-determined time points The ideal candidate will also possess the following: passion for improving the health of low-income patient populations; a strong interest in working in clinical settings; skill in developing rapport with individuals, including primary care patients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds; excellent organizational skills to assist the team to meet goals within specified time period; accuracy, integrity, and honesty; excellent communication skills; and flexibility and willingness to help out as issues arise. Pay Range: $18.06 - $35.78 Hourly
Required: Bachelor’s level education. Interest in medicine, nursing, public health, community health, social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field. One year of experience working in health coaching. Working smartphone. Preferred: Familiar with Los Angeles County. Access to reliable transportation to travel to study clinics, as needed. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
