Under general guidance, will perform various duties necessary to support, train, sell and service the Allergan Medical Health product line Lapband and ensure that the goals of Allergan Medical Health are achieved. Meet objectives for sales, service, and training for the product line in specified territory. Achieve or exceed the agreed upon sales, service, and training objectives for the product line. Educate the customer regarding indications, contraindications, and safety of the products, and how they fulfill the needs of the customer. Maintain updated! knowledge of the industry and competitors products. Execute t! erritory coverage for maximum impact on sales. Perform effective territory and account management. Maintain up to date territory files and account profiles. Pre plan sales calls and maintain efficient time management skills to ensure maximum customer contact and highest level of customer service. Provide technical training to the customer on application and use of the company's products. Perform effective product presentations and demonstrations. Prepare sales contracts, quotes, prices, and terms. Complete administrative responsibilities, quarterly business plans, weekly expense reports, up to date account profiles and computer customer database. Participate in industry related trade shows/meetings. Develop and maintain productive and effective relationships with peers, superiors and external contacts. Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics and professionalism to peers, superiors and external contacts at all times. Represent the company in a positive and supportive mann! er at all times.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four year College or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years sales experience and
3 years O.R device experience required
Previous Bariatric Experience is highly preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, physicians, and to respond to questions and complaints from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area! circumference, and volume.
Ability to utilize word processing! , spreadsheets, flow charts, and database applications. Ability to learn software programs.
Knowledge of FDAs 21 CFR Part 820 (Quality System Regulation), and 21 CFR Part 11 (Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures). ISO 13485 2003, Council Directive 93/42/EEC June, 1993 (Medical Device Directive), and the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, 1998 and the Australian Therapeutics Goods Administration regulations (as applicable) at an advanced level.
Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or related field.
Knowledge of operating room etiquette, sterile fields, and sterile techniques.
Knowledge of sales techniques.
Skill in demonstrating a professional phone manner.
Skill in managing time effectively.
Ability to observe use of Allergan Medical products in the surgical arena.
