Responsibilities
We are seeking a Biostatistician with a strong foundation in bio-statistical design and analysis methods to contribute to the success of Cernerâs Population Health organization. Positional responsibilities include report form development, statistical analysis and interpretation of data, and reporting of results to internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Able to plan, design, conduct and coordinate investigations of chronic and infectious disease.
Analyze the prevalence, incidence and risk factors of chronic conditions within in a variety of populations
Develop report forms, perform statistical analysis, interpret data, and report results to internal and external clients
Contribute to quality control and product development and improvement
Conduct analysis and statistical consultation on a large cohort study
Responsible! for data management, including preparation of data for analyses, data ! cleaning, extracting data from large data bases and developing quantitative measures to be used for analysis.
Has the ability to recommend, implement and evaluate disease surveillance, control, and intervention activities
Identify and correct common flaws in interpretation of results, inconsistency in presentation or inference.
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of statistical input into reports or decisions
Research statistical methods, data analysis methods and novel technologies as needed
Design, perform, and lead others in performing exploratory and confirmatory data analyses to identify patterns in public health outcomes and associated population and community variables
Ensure that analysis project goals are met in a timely manner, and documents progress
With some assistance, provide programming and analytical support, as well as guidance with project design, for projects involving epidemiologic da! ta sets
Effectively mentor non-statistical peers with regard to basic statistical methodology
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Require a Master's degree in Biostatistics or related biological, medical or medical research fields
Experience with designing/analyzing case-controlled, cohort, and longitudinal study designs
Basic familiarity with sample survey methods
Skilled & efficient in producing descriptive & analytic reports
Ability to manage large datasets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to coordinate workload and meet established deadlines.
Self-directed and comfortable performing in a rapidly-developing, highly ambiguous environment
Comfort engaging with Cerner and client executives
Abilit! y to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
Kno! wledge of informatics and reporting platforms is preferred
Have an understanding of prevention, public health & public health programming preferred
