DUTIES:
Physician (Hematology/Oncology)
The duties include providing comprehensive care for patients who have illnesses within the scope of general hematology/oncology. The selected candidate will have completed fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and will be board certified or board eligible for hematology and medical oncology. The physician will provide primary, secondary and tertiary care in both hospitalized and outpatient settings, identifying patients' health problems and designing diagnostic and therapeutic plans to meet these needs. The physician will coordinate activities of other health service personnel, resolving problems affecting patient care and providing appropriate education! for the patient and/or family members regarding the patient's illness and its management.
In addition to direct patient care, we also provide opportunities for residency and fellowship education, research, and program development.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

U.S. Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens)

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Must be board certified or eligible.
Preferred Experience:
1
. ACGME accredited fellowship training in! hematology and medical oncology.
2. Board certification in he! matology and medical oncology.
3. Experience with academic medical practice in a teaching hospital.
4. Experience with diagnostic and therapeutic plans.

Physical Requirements:
