Front Desk Receptionist [United States]


 

The job entails a high level of customer service, the ability to prioritize a high level of patient satisfaction for all patients by warmly greeting patients, completing the check-in and check-out process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Warmly greats patients and families
  • Completes the check-in process such as inputting patient's demographics information, updating patients' records in Office Ally EHR system.

    Verifies patient's eligibility and explains insurance information to patient as necessary
  • Collects patient payments as instructed
  • Works collectively with all team members as needed
  • Performs basic triage functions as needed
  • Keeps an organized front desk and front entry at all times
  • Keeps accurate patient logs
  • Understands basic medical terminology for translations as needed
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Answers patient’s questions and return phone calls
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director/manager/supervisor

Position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or

equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Although bilingual is not a requirement, it would be an added plus for Cantonese, Mandarin, and/or Spanish.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None required for this position.

OTHER

Ability to: work from designated office for collaborative/interactive fulfillment of duties; concentrate in an
open-office environment; appropriately and directly interact with other staff members and/or outside associates. Operate office equipment such as computer, telephone, copy machine, scanner and fax machine. Attend and participate in meetings via phone, computer, or in person.
