Group Overview
The primary function of the IP Development Organization is to develop high quality software solutions, which encompasses functional, technical, and test case design as well as software coding and testing.
Responsibilities
The Software Architect is responsib! le for the design and quality of the components, applications,! solution and system. The Software Architect ensures design reviews and code reviews are completed. Associates in this role must have a thorough understanding of requirements and a deep understanding of software engineering domains. The Software Architect may code complex areas and ensures follow-up is completed on action items for technical design reviews. The Software Architect is accountable that quality applications are developed to meet specified business needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Proficiency in .net technologies
Ability to provide design, guidance, and oversight to a team of designers and software developers
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
Strong communication skills; written and verbal
Ability to work occasional overtime and irregular hours as needed to meet project deadlines
Ability to learn! and apply new technical skills and concepts quickly
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong critical thinking and systematic problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Passion for software engineering
Experience with backend programming and web service design, development, and deployment
Experience in a cloud environment
Experience with IBM technologies
Familiarity with Eclipse, Maven, Subversion
Experience with agile development methodologies
Substantial experience with JUnit and Automated Unit Testing
