Location: Kansas City Missouri

Lead and manage a team of sales personnel assigned within a specific geographic area, to attain the sales goals and objectives determined for the region. This position will drive sales growth utilizing the market trends ! and sales strategies established for the region. Communicates with regional leader regarding customer and competitor activities in the field.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Leads team sales activities to include: ensuring sales targets are being met; executing local education and sales events; utilizing sales systems to manage leads and customer activity; utilizing the surgery management system to ensure flawless execution of product delivery; while applying Zimmer Values and reinforcing adherence to all laws and applicable Zimmer policies and practices.

Initiates and builds strong relationships with key surgeons while able to cover orthopedic procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.

Hires, coaches, mentors and develops staff toward maximized performance. Develops and executes action plans to address underperformance.

Develops relationships with product support personnel, and creates product line technic! al competence, including demonstration of Zimmer product capab! ilities, key features and advance applications.

Expected Areas of Competence
In-depth understanding of customers and their requirements, ability to mobilize internal resources not directly in the line of authority, to meet those requirements.



Demonstrated ability to communicate with, lead and influence others.

Willing and capable of carrying weights up to 50 pounds, independently.

Demonstrated characteristics of potential for future development o! pportunities.

Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or technical discipline plus a minimum of 5 years’ proven sales/marketing experience in the medical device industry (or related business). A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Orthopedic knowledge, including Zimmer competitor product portfolios

Travel Requirements
Up to 95% predominantly by car, depending on territory

Up to 20% overnight travel may be required
