Location: Chesterfield Missouri

Description: St. Luke's Hospital - Missouri is at present looking to employ Prac-RN-Chesterfield Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery FT Day right now, this occupation will be placed in Missouri. Summary: Responsible for assisting physician(s) and physician extender(s), as ap! plicable, with clinical patient medical care duties, including patient triage, rooming of patients, and other clinical duties as assigned by physician. Displays maturity, flexibility, and effective organization and communication skills in dealing with other people.

Works cooperatively with other departments and promoting teamwork within the department. Assists with front office duties as needed (staffing contingency) and performs in a timely manner and with accuracy, other job duties as assigned. Responsible for adhering to all established Hospital Policies and Nursing Standards.

Principle Accountabilities:
Time Spent
1. Clinical 80%
a. Rooms patients.
b. Measures and records vital signs in EMR
c. Records chief complaint and patient history in EMR
d. Prepares patients for examinations.
e. Assists physicians with exams and min! or office procedures.
f. Administers medications per physi! cian orders.
g. Provides patient education per physician orders.
h. Returns patient calls per physician orders.
i. Stocks, cleans, and maintains sufficient supplies and equipment.
j. Disposes of biohazard and waste according to OSHA standards.
k. Performs accurate documentation.

2. Front Office 15%
a. Answers the phone and schedules appointments.
b. Greets patients and completes required forms.
c. Covers front desk reception as needed.

3. Performs other work duties as assigned. 5%

Total = 100%

Required Experience:
1. Basic computer skills required.
2. Excellent phone skills and written communication skills required.
3. Excellent patient assessment skills required.
4. Medical office or hospital nursing experience required.

The assessment, care and treatment provided by the RN will be consistent with the specific age related needs of the patient. The RN is competent to care for! patient age groups consistent with the specialties of the physician(s) in the practice.

Required Education:
1. High school diploma required.

2. Graduate of accredited nursing school with current licensure in the state of Missouri required.

3. CPR Certification

Compensation:Working Conditions:
Employee is required to sit and walk frequently. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) load frequently, a medium (21-50 lbs.) and/or heavy (50 lbs. +) load occasionally. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. Employee may be required to do simple grasping and pushing/pulling.
