This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.
May incl! ude some weekends, evenings and/or nights on-call and/or coverage as dictated by the needs of each study. Some travel to investigator meetings and national meetings is required as well as frequent travel to Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.

Essential Functions
POSITION SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for functioning as the lead person on assigned Plastic Surgery research projects/studies. Coordinates all research activities to provide available subjects, required study procedures, follow-up, data collection and verified documentation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works with faculty and staff to coordinate all aspects of study activities including: identification, screening, and enrollment of study subjects, ensuring that all required labs, procedures and data are o! btained according to established study protocol.
2. P! rovides and documents informed consent and provides ongoing adverse event monitoring and reporting.
3. Arranges and conducts subject follow up procedures according to the study protocol.
4. Collects source documentation. Develops and maintains research and patient records and patient records accurately and in an organized manner. Prepares accurate case report forms in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Coordinates handling of study required specimens, collection of source information for specimens, preparation and shipping of specimens.
6. Creates and maintains databases in accordance with research protocols and regulatory procedures.
7. Provides administrative support of clinical trials including maintaining and organizing regulatory documents and IRB submissions and event reporting as required per established guidelines.
8. Maintains study documents for review providing study explanations and reports
as necessa! ry to the study sponsor, FDA, IRB and other potential auditors.
9. Maintains current knowledge of developments in relevant medical practices through reviews of articles and attendance at selected clinical conferences to the satisfaction of supervisor.
10. Authorizes payments to ancillary organizations for services received and accounts for payments from organizations serviced.
Required Qualifications
Must have completed an allied health degree (Radiological Tech, Respiratory Therapist, etc.) plus a minimum of 5 years of clinical and/or research experience, or completion of Bachelorâs degree in a field related to health science and a minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or research experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of applicable study protocol(s) and informed consent provisions. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Initiative, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention ! to detail.
Bachelorâs degree in a field related to health sc! ience and a minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or research experience preferred.
Salary Range
The hiring range for this position is $51,147 to $65,208 annually.
