This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions
POSITION SUMMARY:
Position directs the activities of the academic office, supervises, coordinates and provides leadership functions for clerical staff. Oversees personnel matters, office support services, IT services, and facilities. Maintains reports and acts as liaison between practice site and business office. Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing practices. Assists Program Director in managing the medical education programs, including trainee recruitment, education support, documentation, and ACGME compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervises activities of the academic office. Review, assists, promotes and maintains development of office policies and procedures and office practices.
2. Directs, assigns and coordinates activities and d! uties of staff, evaluating performance, orienting new staff, a! nd advising administration of changes.
3. Works with faculty to establish performance goals, assess work performance, and implement best practices to maximize effectiveness of staff. Established training programs to improve expertise and maximize efficiency of staff.
4. Maintains job descriptions for practice site positions, participates and assists in the interviewing of employees, acts to resolve personnel problems, prepares and approves staff schedules.
5. Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings and attends practice site division meetings as requested.
6. Monitors supplies and equipment, ordering/repairing as required.
7. Prepares and manages the budgets for each functional area, approves time & labor reports, financial transactions, and assists business office with strategic planning and generation of business plan.
8. Supervises Sr. Computer Artist and associated area.
9. Assists the Resident Program Di! rector in managing medical education programs including recruitment, orientation, evaluation, curriculum support, training documentation, and ACGME compliance.
Required Qualifications
Prefer BS degree
3-5 years experience in academic systems management and database systems required
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of physician practice. Demonstrated communication, organization, leadership and interpersonal skills. Previous office supervision experience required. Physician practice management experience preferred.
Salary Range
The hiring range for this position is commensurate with experience.
